…They’d be brilliant, free boose surely? Never worry though because the Irish Blog Awards held in Alexander Hotel Dublin last night with 400 in attendance was a highly entertaining affair anyway with Rick O’Shea doing a great job of co-presenting with some well edited Dubya videos, which should be seeing their way to youtube shortly.

I was lucky enough to get to chat to Aoife “didn’t copy Annie” Mc who came away from the awards with some firearms (warning to all copy & paste journalists, she’s packing) and Niall who was extremely humble and modest about winning best music blog among all his other achievements with State and SEBP this year. Later, in the lobby Andy and I drunkenly chatted to Stuart Bailie, who bravely put up with us for at least a good ten minutes, (Andy tried unsuccessfully discussing the serious topic of magazine photo espionage with a fake moustache sticker under his nose). For those of you bloggers or NC readers who weren’t at the ceremony, here’s the winners, although isn’t the overall blogging community here in Ireland the real winner? Don’t answer that.

    Not forgetting Grannymar who also, I assume, headed back up North [probably with a toy boy on tow]. The Voyage certainly deserved that award.
