Well friends, NC has been nominated in the best blog and best arts and culture blog categories in the Irish Blog Awards. See Mum… all those days in front of the PC until 3:30am are finally paying dividends! Obviously the competition is tough, but we at NC towers have been listening to the Rocky soundtrack for 3 days straight now (clearly not by choice, the sales guy in the office just has it playing on repeat from his laptop) but if there’s anything we believe in, it’s that any excuse for a piss-up in Dublin is a good one.

In other, less self-indulgent news… Belfast now has it’s first alternative music mp3 blog; Mucho Danke. It’s run by Andy of GoodOnPaper fame and Keith who I know from back in the days of student radio at Queen’s. Rumour has it they’ll be caning tunes at the Two Step Club in Belfast soon. That’s all for now, podcast should be up tomorrow.

    Hey Eddie
    Congrats on your nomination dude!
I’m listening to your interview with Andy from queen’s radio as I type. That’s cool that you’ve set up the future shorts in belfast, fair play.
See you at the blog awards I hope?

Yeah fo’ sure. Should be good craic- is it a faux pas to bring your laptop to these things?

I jest- My laptop isn’t pint-proof. This has been proven.

Glad to see the indiehour will be representin’ too! Future Shorts is good fun to organise, although I’m a distasteriously poor marketer. I blame Bill Hicks.
